dashCommerce 3.0.1 Release - WebReady

The dashCommerce 3.0.1 Release has a few enhancements and, more importantly, for the developers out there, there is a streamlined IPaymentProvider interface. There are some bug fixes as well and a few other tidbits here and there that are fixed up.

In order to upgrade your existing dashCommerce 3.0 installation, you must do the following (as always, run this against a test environment first):

Take your site offline
Run the Update_dC3.0_To_dC3.0.1.sql script that is in install/scripts against your database
Copy up all of the directories and files EXCEPT:

Install
Repository
connectionString.config
IF you have modified the existing dashCommerce Theme, you should copy that and rename it to something else (i.e. MydashCommerce), you can then select if from the dropdown list in the SiteSettings and you will preserve your theme separate from the default dashCommerce theme.

dashCommerce 3.0 Release is here!

This is the Web Ready package - not need to build or compile - just FTP it up!

Please pay special attention to NAZ and YITZCHOK - without these guys this release would not have happened this fast! We also want to thank the community for rallying around this product and submitting some great patches and many new features. Much more to come !!

There is a ton of functionality from RC1 to Release, but not too many database changes. If you are working on an RC1 database and wish to upgrade it to the Release version, there is a Update_dC3.0RC1_To_dC3.0.sql file in Web\install\scripts which you can use to upgrade your database.

There is also a Source package available for those of you that simply want to build dashCommerce and run it.

First off, a big THANK YOU to all of the translators! This is sweet! We have added a lot of languages and there are more coming!

Second, I'd like to thank the community for all the support and good ideas so far. There is a lot more to the RC1 that there was to the Beta, and this is in no small part due to community members NAZ and YITZCHOK. These guys have been a blessing to the project, so send them an "Thanks!" PM or contribute to the project and put in a note that it's for these guys and I'll forward it on.

So What's in RC1?

A lot! More translations, more robust content management that lets you plug in your own widgets, better refunding, better order / transaction management, and a ton more! (oh, and a few bug fixes).

The ReadMe.txt file contains the installation instructions. You will find the ReadMe.txt file under the Web folder. Simply download this file and unzip to a directory.

Please make sure you READ the ReadMe.txt file and checkout the Technology page to ensure you have the required technologies installed.
