    What are Attributes

    Hello,

I'm not a retail business person, I a programmer seeking business programming skills. So, you can help me by defining and giving some examples of attributes and attribute Suffixes.

    Answer

Attributes are "Product Attributes", such as a T-Shirt may come in SMALL, MEDIUM or LARGE and may also come in Blue, Red, or Yellow. The Suffixes are used to help build up the SKU, which gives dashCommerce the ability to keep inventory on the LARGE, RED T-Shirt and the YELLOW, MEDIUM T-Shirt. Depending on the Base Sku and the Sku Suffix, the SKU may look like TSHIRT-BLU-MED. Make sense?

I don't understand why would you use Sku Suffix ?

You can use one Sku for large, red T-shirt and another for yellow, medium T-shirt.

Yep, exactly, but we build up the SKU's for you based on the base sku and the sku suffixes.

Cool. Makes sense. Do i HAVE to use attributes. I want to sell items that are what they are. I.e. Katie Melua - Gone Forever (fictional) CD. It's a product with no additional attributes.. it is what it is
