 I am currently using Paypal Payments Pro (UK) which is different to the US version, has anyone written a payment provider for Dashcommerce to support this?  Or point me to some documentation where I might be able to make one...

 Nope...  Have to say not really impressed so far to be honest, I am already looking into using a different store as this one if just geared up for people in the US who use paypal.. Thats it.

There are hundreds, perhaps thousands of payment providers / gateways. We can't write them all. BUT, what we can do is make the application flexible enough to be able to accomodate dropping them in. There are a few posts in the forums on how to make providers, and there are at least two examples in the code base in so far as the PayPal payment provider (standard and pro) - these provide you with a good example on how to make providers. If you look at the configuration section and the screencasts on configuration, you should also be able to piece it together. Plenty of learning opportunities, but there is some work involved. 

 But this is being pushed as having Paypal Pro payment provider already configured...  Which it doesn't for the UK.   I did open the US paypal pro provider but couldn't get my head round it initially...  If you can point me towards some screen casts / video tutorials on how to add / edit a provider for this store I will try and make a UK one for everyone to use.
