Full-text error during the installation.

Hello,

I'm trying to intall the dashCommerce. After filling up the details of the database (the second page of the installation wizard) and clicking Next button I get the error: A critical error has occurred: Execution of a full-text operation failed. 'The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion.'

The db is configured to use full-text indexing. I'm using SQL Server Standard Edition.

Do you have any idea why that happens?

hmm - nope. Sad I haven't seen this one before. You might have to Google this one to find a possible solution. From a quick search it looks like different things can cause this - none of them related to dashCommerce. Let us know if you find out otherwise.

I found that the full-text search in the SQL Server 2005 depends on some windows service(unfortunately I don't remember it's name). That service was removed from Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. To have the SQL Server full-text functionality in your database enabled running these to operating systems SP2 for SQL Server 2005 should be installed. That worked for me.
