Parser Error Message: It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level.  This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.

I had the same problem.  To resolve it I created an IIS application instead of simply a virtual directory.  This is a configuration error on your machine not with the software.

    Re: Installation Problem

I tried to create an IIS application but I always get the same error.  I must be doing something wrong.  Any suggestion?  How did you do it?

I suggest you google your specific error.  When I created the IIS application to point to the "Commerce.Web" it began the installation.

    Re: Installation Problem

My site worked until I uploaded to my host and now it gives this error as above... I don't have the 'power' to make it an application, but I would assume my provider does that by default? Any suggestions? Dave
